Using Scraps on a CreatiFrame work

Little pieces of interesting fabric can be used to create an unusual textile collage.

Frame : 015A-L-O

A piece of hand dyed linen has been attached to the frame - first it was tacked into place using the stretching fabric method, then stitched in sections using deorative threads. The tacking was then removed. The piece used has the selvedge still attached, so this has been left to give a slight fringe along the bottom.

Two lengths of vintage ribbon have been added, taking the ribbon over the edges of the frame. A piece of silk chiffon, also hand dyed, has been stitched to the surface, runching the fabric to add texture as it is stitched into place.

The end has been left and frayed a little. Running stitches have been sewn randomly along the surface to create swirls and groups.

Finally, a mini CreatiFrame (not yet released) has been added as an embellishment.
